Actually, if I do the math, it seems like $530 is the better option...
If I keep the phone for only 1 yr:
$180 phone cost + ~$85 ($79.99 + tax & fees) x 12 months service plan + $200 ETF = $1400
$530 phone cost + $70 (my current plan) x 12 months service plan = $1370

If I keep the phone for 2 yrs:
$180 phone cost + ~$85 x 24 months service plan = $2220
$530 phone cost + $70 x 24 months service plan = $2210
